About
Vica Rosario Bogaerts was born and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Since 2020, she has been living in Hanoi, Vietnam, with her family. Her professional background in international development, with a focus on disaster and climate resilience, has shaped how she sees the world—through the lens of those most vulnerable to significant global changes. This work has taken her across Africa, East Asia, the Pacific Islands, the Western Balkans, and the Southern Caucasus, deepening her approach to photography along the way.
Vica’s photography centers on candid street moments, using a poetic approach to capture everyday life. With a 28mm wide-angle lens in hand, she enjoys wandering without a set destination. Her goal is to elevate the ordinary, highlighting moments that are easy to overlook.
